Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports provides home- and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. We are seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals for full-time and part-time roles in homes and communities statewide.

Responsibilities include hands-on support, daily living assistance, documentation, and coordination with families and care teams. Training is provided, and background checks are required for all staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with IDD preferred, but training is provided.
• Patient, compassionate and dependable.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks and complete DDD-mandated training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.—provided by the company).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meals, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Follow individualized care and behavior support plans as directed.
• Administer medication as trained and authorized where applicable.
• Document services provided accurately per NJ DDD requirements.
• Communicate with families and care teams regarding needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times.
