Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide home- and community-based support in New Jersey. We offer both full-time and part-time roles with training provided.

DSPs will assist with daily living, personal care, meal prep, and household tasks, following care plans. Medication administration is possible with authorization. Maintain safety, communicate with families, and document services per NJ DDD requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but training provided.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks and complete DDD-mandated training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration) — provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in their homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed.
• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable).
• Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements.
• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times.
