Job summary

Indera is seeking a young, engaging staff member for 1:1 support with a young man who has a developmental disability in Syracuse, NY. You will assist in building independent living skills and accompany him to community activities.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, reliable, and possess strong communication. Hours are Mondays/Wednesdays with some flexibility; pay starts at $20/hour with $0.70 per mile for transportation reimbursement. A background check and DMV verification will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire.

In this critical role, you will provide support to the person while completing independent living skills and accompanying him to recreational activities in the community. The individual loves writing, reading, seeing live music, cooking, and singing. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be compassionate, and must be reliable. Experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate!Hours: Mondays/Wednesdays open availability, has some availability on other days as well.Pay rate: $20/hour starting, additionally $.70 per mile for transportation reimbursementLocation: Syracuse, NYReliable transportation is required.
