Job summary

ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC in Syracuse, NY is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional for 1:1 support with a young man who has a developmental disability. This per diem role involves working on Mondays and Wednesdays with potential other days, starting at $20 per hour and mileage reimbursement.

You will help with independent living skills, accompany him to community activities, and rely on your communication, reliability, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Follow program policies; background check, fingerprinting, and DMV checks will be completed.

You can make a difference in the life of someone special! We are looking for an young, engaging, and creative staff (1:1 support) to work with a young man with a developmental disability who is located in the city of Syracuse, NY. In this critical role, you will provide support to the person while completing independent living skills and accompanying him to recreational activities in the community. The individual loves writing, reading, seeing live music, cooking, and singing. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be compassionate, and must be reliable. Experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate!

Hours: Mondays/Wednesdays open availability, has some availability on other days as well.

Pay rate: $20/hour starting, additionally $.70 per mile for transportation reimbursement

Location: Syracuse, NY

Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency
