Maxim Healthcare Services in Bethlehem, PA is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide in-home and community-based support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help with ADLs, companionship, and participation in community activities, while following individualized care plans.

No prior DSP experience required, but reliability and empathy are essential. We offer training, flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience as a DSP, CNA, or BH tech preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to pass required background screenings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support community integration and participation in recreational activities.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being.
• Document services and client progress accurately.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavioral support plans as needed.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional relationship with clients and families.
