Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings in Lancaster, PA. This role supports daily living activities, community engagement, and safe transport to appointments.

You will work with a supportive team, receive ongoing training, and benefit from a flexible schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable personal vehicle for work.
• Ability to pass required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes and community settings
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Support individuals with community engagement, recreation, and social activities
• Promote independence while maintaining a safe and supportive environment
• Transport clients to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed
• Document services and report any concerns to supervisors according to company policies
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, and team members
