COMHAR is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Glenside, PA. The DSP provides direct services and residential support to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and/or behavioral health needs, promoting dignity and independence.

The DSP role includes daily living assistance, personal care, and community engagement, with full-time and part-time opportunities across multiple shifts. Training and safety are emphasized.

Formación

• High School Diploma (or GED).
• Current PA driver's license; clean driving record; able to operate program vehicles.
• Six months of related IDD residential or similar experience.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of consumer records.
• Able to learn COMHAR policies and applicable regulations.
• Attention to safety for residents and vehicle operation.
• Able to work with individuals with diverse emotional/cognitive needs.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Able to complete assignments timely per COMHAR procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Provide respectful, person-centered support to individuals with IDD in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal hygiene, household tasks and healthy routines.
• Support meal preparation, proper nutrition, serving meals and cleanup.
• Administer approved medications per guidelines.
• Safely operate COMHAR vehicles to transport consumers as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for all duties.
• Report crises or concerns to the Site Manager immediately.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.
