Job summary

COMHAR is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Glenside, PA. The DSP provides direct services and residential support to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral health needs, promoting dignity and independence.

Full-time and part-time positions are available across multiple shifts. The role involves daily living support, personal care, meals, documentation, and safe transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of related experience in an IDD residential facility or similar setting.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy of all consumer records.
• High attention to safety and details in daily tasks and driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, person-centered support to individuals with IDD in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal hygiene, meals, and routines.
• Document accurately and timely; operate vehicles for transport when needed.
• Maintain dignity, privacy, and safety of residents; report incidents promptly.
