Job summary

CSG is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support adults with autism in residential settings in Harrisburg, PA. We offer full-time, part-time and flexible shifts with a two-week orientation and mileage reimbursement for orientation travel.

Base pay starts at $17/hr with potential to earn up to $21/hr depending on location and shift. Join a team focused on dignity, independence and community integration.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals.
• Administers medication and treatment as permitted under regulations

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships where those we support live, work, or in a community setting, in order to promote and ensure their emotional, physical and personal well-being.
• Assist adults in developing life skills such as interaction, cooking, housekeeping, money management, personal hygiene.
• Support individuals’ preferences and ensure their interests are honored.
• Identify opportunities for community integration and independence using local resources.
• Help individuals reach goals to be more independent through guidance and instruction.
• Complete required documentation including electronic health records accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with involved agencies, family, and other service providers; participate in meetings.
• Provide support to arrange medical care and follow health care recommendations including dietary guidelines.
• Conduct fire drills, manage emergencies, and provide coverage as needed.
