Job summary

Life Works is recruiting Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily activities at home and in the community. The role supports residents in a 24/7 program with shifts including weekends, mornings, and evenings.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be physically capable of lifting and transferring clients, and remain flexible for varied hours. Benefits are provided in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• DSPs must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds or ¼ body weight and assist with transfers.
• Must complete required TB test and obtain criminal clearances per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to participate in activities at home and in the community.
• Support safe loading/unloading and emergency safety procedures.
• Maintain essential documentation and adapt to flexible schedules including weekends.
