Job summary

westbayri in Cranston, RI is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with intellectual, developmental, and emotional disabilities live more independent lives at home and in their communities.

The role offers a NEW PAY RATE of $21.50–$22.50 per hour plus a $1.00/hour weekend differential, with flexible full-time and part-time schedules, and opportunities for growth and meaningful career impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs with assistance or devices as needed.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, push and pull during shifts.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient attitude.
• Genuine desire to help others succeed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Prepare meals and support dietary needs.
• Help with household tasks and errands.
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and activities.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Encourage independence and community involvement.
• Build positive relationships with individuals and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.
• Promote a safe, healthy living environment.
• Participate in required trainings and professional development.
