Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency seeks experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with IDD in their homes and communities.

As a DSP, you will help with daily living activities, promote independence, follow ISPs and BSPs, and accompany clients to appointments and activities while maintaining privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

• Previous DSP or direct-care experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other IDD.
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs).
• Encourage socialization, community participation, and meaningful activities.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, work, and community activities.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Protect individual privacy and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Provide reliable transportation when required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Direct Support Professional, you will:
