Qualifications

• Previous DSP or direct-care experience required.
• Ability to follow ISPs and BSPs and work in home and community settings.
• Commitment to person-centered care and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth.
• Support individuals with IDD/ASD and other developmental disabilities.
• Follow Individualized Service Plans and Behavioral Support Plans.
• Encourage socialization, community participation, and meaningful activities.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, work, and community activities.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Protect privacy and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs)
• Encourage socialization, community participation, and meaningful activities
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, work, and community activities
• Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and goal tracking
• Protect individual privacy and maintain HIPAA confidentiality
• Provide reliable transportation when required

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs
• Experience implementing Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs)
• Experience working with individuals with Autism and/or other developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of person-centered care and individual rights

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous DSP experience required
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal transportation
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
