Job summary

West Bay RI is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with intellectual, developmental, and emotional disabilities live more independent lives in home and community settings.

We offer flexible full-time and part-time schedules with 1st and 2nd shift options, plus a $1.00/hour weekend differential. You will provide person-centered support, meals, transportation, medication administration, and community activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. (with assistance or lifting devices as needed).
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient attitude.
• Genuine desire to help others succeed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Prepare meals and support dietary needs.
• Help with household tasks and errands.
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and community activities.
• Administer medications and treatments according to policy.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and community involvement.
• Build positive relationships with individuals, families, and coworkers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans.
• Promote a safe, healthy living environment.
• Participate in required training and professional development.
