Seven Hills Foundation's Stetson School in Massachusetts seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (Child Care Specialists) to work with youth in a residential setting, creating a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where they can grow, heal, and succeed.

You will exemplify patience, consistency, and empathy while maintaining professional boundaries in a demanding setting. A relevant degree or MA field experience is required, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in human services or 6 months field experience with MA high school diploma equivalency ( homeschooling, GED, or HS diploma) required.
• Experience in trauma-informed care or ACORN model is preferred.
• Must have a valid standard driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care and support to students in a residential setting.
• Ensure safety, supervision, and well-being of students at all times.
• Build positive, professional relationships with appropriate boundaries.
• Teach and reinforce healthy behaviors, hygiene, and life skills.
• Maintain structure and routine; supervise daily schedules and transitions.
• Transport students to appointments and activities as needed.
• Use CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) techniques to de-escalate and prevent incidents.
• Promote positive behavior, self-regulation, and social development.
• Lead recreational and skill-building activities; mentor students.
• Complete shift notes, reports, and required documentation accurately.
