Job summary

Catholic Charities Family and Community Services (CCFCS) is hiring per diem DSP II night, weekend, and holiday shifts. The role requires promoting independence for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in residential settings.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Credentials: NY State Driver's License; AMAP Certification required for DSP II.
• Experience: At least one year working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to promote independence and trauma-informed care; strong communication with team.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals served, recognizing learning needs and preferred styles.
• Provide direct personal assistance in hands-on support.
• Assist individuals in health and wellness needs.
• Schedule and accompany individuals to medical appointments and document information.
• Assist with meal preparation, menu planning, and shopping.
• Maintain effective communication with individuals and staff.
• Report incidents and emergencies promptly per policy.
• Support individuals with managing funds and budgeting as appropriate.
