Job summary

YAI is hiring a Direct Support Professional to work in Hollis Hills, Queens, providing direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with ADLs, personal care, and community integration, while ensuring safety and well-being within the program.

Responsibilities include participating in treatment plans, documenting progress, and conducting trainings for a team. Flexible schedule options include full-time, part-time, mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Work in I/DD field is a plus, for DSP 2 positions 1–2 years experience.
• Valid NY State Driver’s License may be required depending upon the position.
• Tuberculosis test is mandatory for most positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care services including counseling, ADLs training, personal care, and other needs within the program.
• Ensure health, safety, and wellness of the people supported.
• Assist with intimate care functions and support community integration.
• Develop and follow treatment plans and document progress for compliance and billing.
