Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional House Lead in Visalia, CA. The role involves promoting health, safety, and well-being for residents with developmental disabilities, acting as an advocate, and supporting IPP/ISP goals.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED, CPR/FA, CPI, and DSP 1 & 2 certifications, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. A valid California driver’s license is required for on-site transport.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED, CPR/FA, CPI, and DSP 1 & 2 Certifications.
• Minimum Experience: 3+ years of professional or personal experience supporting Adults with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses with challenging behaviors.
• Minimum Driving Experience: Valid in-state driver’s license, age 21+, valid registration and insurance, clean driving record within last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in IPP.
• Support residents by developing IPP/ISP goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for clients.
• Assist clients with personal care and daily activities.
• Prepare meals and assist with cleanup.
• Transport clients in company vans if needed.
• Report incidents to administrators.

Here's What You'll Do:

The House Lead supports individuals with developmental disabilities to have quality of life by promoting the health, safety and well-being of residents. A Direct Support Professional serves as an advocate for our clients.

Essential Functions

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for the clients.
• Support the needs and goals of each resident by taking them to visit family and friends, to preferred leisure/recreation activities, and encouraging them to socialize among peers.
• Assist clients with personal care such as grooming, bathroom needs, changing clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
• Report any incidents or problems and communicate daily with administrators.
• Perform other duties assigned

Education and Experience

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED, CPR/FA, CPI, and DSP 1 & 2 Certifications
• Minimum Experience: 3 + years of professional or personal experience supporting Adults with developmental disabilities (e.g. Autism) or mental illnesses (e.g. Bipolar) with challenging behaviors strongly preferred
• Minimum Driving Experience: Must have a valid in-state driver's license, be over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
