Job summary

QSAC is urgently hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the Queens Village Day Habilitation Center in Queens, NY. You will assist people we support, follow treatment plans, and promote independence through community activities and volunteering.

The salary is $18.00 per hour, with benefits and 403(b) retirement options. Responsibilities include safety, relationship-building, and transporting individuals as needed.

Qualifications

• NYS Driver's License required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to develop and maintain relationships.
• Promote and protect health, safety and emotional well-being of individuals.
• Support person-centered plans honoring preferences, culture and strengths.
• Collaborate with others to support self-directed lives for individuals.
• Implement and adhere to established treatment plans.
• Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed.
