Job summary

QSAC, Inc. seeks a Day Habilitation - Direct Support Professional (DSP) Staff Trainer in Astoria, NY to support individuals in our day habilitation program. The role focuses on implementing treatment plans, guiding staff, and ensuring safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Ability to run.
• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb items.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
• Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
• Implement and train others on treatment plans and goals.
• Model appropriate techniques related to the implementation of treatment plans and goals.
• Maintain all required certifications.
• Supervise Group Leaders and Habilitation Specialists in the implementation of treatment plans and goals.
• Maintain individual/family confidentiality.
• Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
• Attendance and punctuality is essential.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
