Job summary

QSAC, Inc. is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional for the Bronx Day Habilitation Center. You will assist individuals and follow treatment plans to promote independence and community integration through recreational outings and volunteer training opportunities.

The role emphasizes safety, person-centered supports, and teamwork. Shift is early morning to late afternoon on weekdays; the organization offers competitive benefits and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• NYS Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Home Health Aide experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the individuals to develop and maintain relationships.
• Promote and protect the health, safety and emotional well-being of the individuals.

• Work in partnership with others to support all individuals to lead self-directed lives.
• Implement and adhere to established treatment plans.
• Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed.
