Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Somers Point, NJ to support individuals in daily living and community activities.

You will supervise, coach, and document progress to ensure safety and health while helping individuals achieve daily living goals. A high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and 18+ years of age are required, plus attendance at ten days of paid onsite orientation. Starting wage is $20.42 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid non-provisional driver’s license.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation.
• Empathetic with a team-oriented care approach.

Responsibilities

• Ensure our individuals are safe and healthy while attending our day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Oversee planning, implementation, and documentation of programs to meet social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
