Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. No experience is required—we provide on-the-job training.

You will support daily activities, meal prep, transportation, medication administration, and advocacy, in a compassionate, respectful home environment. This role offers competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities through our LEAP program to leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, 18+, valid driver’s license, compassionate demeanor.
• Preferred: 1–2 years in healthcare or related field.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide Support & Care: encourage and guide individuals to meet goals following person-centered plans.
• Foster a Safe Environment: build trust and uphold residents' rights.
• Meal Prep & Housekeeping: prepare meals and assist with laundry and cleaning.
• Transportation & Advocacy: accompany to appointments and document on behalf of residents.
• Medication Administration: administer medications as prescribed.
• 24/7 Availability: be awake and accessible in homes requiring around-the-clock care.
• Supervise Daily Activities: support personal care, life skills, and social activities.
