Job summary

Chimes is hiring a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity, independence, and confidence in a supportive, team‑focused environment.

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on care, follow individualized care plans, document progress, administer medications, maintain a safe and respectful setting, and help participants engage with the community. This on-site role is in New Castle, DE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disability services preferred but not required; training provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care (dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing).
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications per policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Travel may be required for some DSP roles between Residential and Day programs.
