Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Mullica Hill, NJ. You will support adults with autism and developmental disabilities, helping them build daily living skills and navigate community activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver's license (non-provisional) required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and complete a two-week hybrid/in-person orientation.
• Ability to respond calmly, make thoughtful decisions and show empathy and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals may work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.
• Help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals in our care.
• Coach and assist individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Support planning, implementation, and documentation of programs addressing social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based employment, day program activities and outings.
• Build positive relationships with families to support individuals’ thriving care.
