Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Deptford, NJ to assist adults with autism and developmental disabilities in daily living and community activities. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to helping others thrive and grow.

Starting salary is $20.42 per hour, with increases based on education and experience. This part-time position includes generous time off, affordable healthcare, student loan reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Attend two-week paid orientation hybrid/in person.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and calm decision-making.
• Demonstrate empathy, reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals may work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.
• Help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals in our care.
• Coach and assist individuals to build daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Support planning, implementation, and documentation of programs addressing social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based employment, volunteering opportunities, and outings.
• Build positive relationships with family members to support individual thriving.
• Safely transporting individuals to appointments, day programs, and community activities.

Skills
