Job summary

Dungarvin in Indiana is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Lafayette and Flora. You will support daily living, safety, and personal growth while upholding dignity and respect.

Role requires patience, strong communication, and crisis-management abilities; a valid driver's license is required for transporting individuals.

Qualifications

18 years or older.
Valid driver's license required (to transport persons served).
Some positions may require your own vehicle and auto liability insurance.
Person-centered, patient, and kind.
Dependable, adaptable, flexible.
Observant and detail oriented.
Positive role-model for others and able to work on a team.
Commitment to a respectful and collaborative environment.
Good communication to document care and follow support plans.
Successful background clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
Assist with daily living tasks such as moving, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
