Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License in candidate’s legal name and current address; one year minimum driving experience.
• Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Aspiration to work with autistic, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals.
• Prior experience with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision to foster life growth and daily living skills.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation.
• Complete paperwork and maintain communication with residents and families; adhere to safety standards and crisis techniques.
• Resolve problem behavior situations per Bancroft’s safety and crisis policies.
