Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our Farmingdale team on the second shift. You will work with a multidisciplinary staff to support individuals in daily living skills and community integration.

The role offers a starting hourly wage of $20.42 with increases based on education and experience. Benefits include health coverage from day one, tuition assistance and ongoing training in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Be empathetic and have a team approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Plan, implement, and document programs to meet social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for individuals.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
