Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help adults with autism and developmental disabilities build independence and daily living skills. You’ll join a collaborative team, support community participation, and contribute to meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Driver's license required.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Two-week paid orientation, hybrid and in-person.
• Strong judgment and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals may work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.
• Help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals in our care.
• Coach and assist individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Support planning, implementation, and documentation of programs addressing individual needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based employment, volunteer opportunities, and outings.
