Devereux New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with autism and developmental disabilities in daily living activities and community participation. You will join a collaborative team focused on growth and ongoing training, with a strong emphasis on safety and compassionate care.

The role provides a starting salary of $20.42 per hour, opportunities for advancement, and a benefits package after 30 days.

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Responsabilidades

• Direct Support Professionals may work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.
• Help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals in our care.
• Coach and assist individuals as they build daily living skills, including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Support the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs that address each individual's social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based employment, volunteer opportunities, day program and outings that promote involvement and independence.
• Build positive, productive relationships with individuals’ family members to help ensure the individual thrives under the care we provide.
• Safely transporting our individuals could include doctor appointments, day program and scheduled community activities.
