Job summary

Becket Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with developmental disabilities in a group home setting in Westminster, MA. The role offers the opportunity to help clients with daily living skills, social interaction and emotional stability.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years of age, valid driver’s license, and clearance of a background check. Full-time positions include paid time off and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Satisfactory background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and mentoring to clients, including role modeling appropriate behaviors.
• Teach daily living skills, meal preparation and participate in recreational and social activities.
• Help improve client's social skills, interpersonal skills, life and coping skills through the development of respectful and positive relationships.
• Be a positive role model to help shape growth and build trust.
• Be their first line of support to provide emotional stability.
