Job summary

Alliant is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide support, supervision, and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Community Training Home (CTH) in Moncks Corner, SC. The role offers full-time hours and a pay rate of $17.50 per hour, with overtime available and paid training provided.

No prior experience is required, and orientation is 7 days. The DSP will assist with daily living, transportation, and medication administration while promoting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required) and Minimum age: 18
• One year working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
• Valid South Carolina Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required

Responsibilities

• The DSP provides support, supervision, and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Community Training Home (CTH).
• The DSP helps individuals achieve independence, safety, and personal development in accordance with agency values and procedures.
• Maintain professional behavior and follow agency mission, policies, and procedures
• Treat individuals and coworkers with dignity and respect at all times
• Monitor and report changes in individuals' health and daily routines
• Provide hands-on support with hygiene, grooming, and daily living tasks
• Prepare meals and snacks based on dietary needs
• Safely transport individuals to activities, appointments, and outings
• Administer medications and treatments per agency policy
• Follow agency transportation and safety protocols
• Complete Medication Administration Records (MARs)
• Attend meetings and complete ongoing training as required
• Perform related duties as assigned to support the agency’s mission and operational needs
• Lead DSP Duties
• Oversee and manage the financial accounts of individuals, including budgeting, receipts, and reconciliation
• Maintain current Personal Property Inventory for each individual, ensuring documentation is accurate and items are safeguarded
