Charles Lea Center in Clayton, NC, is looking for compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with disabilities live independently in client homes. You’ll assist with daily living tasks, support engagement in activities, and document progress in Therap, while maintaining safety and professionalism.

This role offers competitive pay of $18.03/hour plus weekend shift differential, plus a $1,250 sign-on bonus paid in two installments, with a consistent 1st/2nd shift schedule and

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience (DSP/CNA/PCA/RBT/Med Tech) encouraged.
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks.

Aboutthe Role:

As a DSP, you’ll work in a residential setting, in the client's home, supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. Your responsibilities may include:

• Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building.
• Promoting independence and dignity in every interaction
• Document daily notes, training steps, and updates in Therap.
• Communicate important information to supervisors and team members.
• Follow safety, infection control, and agency policies.
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and positive interactions.

What You’ll Need:

• Minimum age: 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver)
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks

Work Location Flexibility:

While this position is assigned to client homes living in our Clayton/Smithfield, NC locations, All Direct Support Professionals may be required to work at other Charles Lea Center sites as needed based on staffing and operational needs.
