Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with developmental disabilities live vibrant, independent lives. You will build trusted relationships and support daily routines that honor each person’s strengths, choices, and goals in a warm community setting.

Location is Gallagher Services in Pasadena, MD, with a Monday–Friday 8 AM to 4 PM schedule. You’ll engage residents in activities they love, such as puzzles, reading, baking, and movies, while

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Support with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
• Assist with meal preparation and healthy eating habits, maintaining a clean and comfortable kitchen.
• Be patient, respectful in action and speech.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build confidence and self.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care.

Pay Range: $20 - $20.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience)

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 4 PM

HowYou’llSupport:

MinimumRequirements:

• Mustbe at least 21 years old

• Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairs
• Able tolift upto 75 pounds, stand forlong periods, and provide physicalassistancewhen needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
