Job summary

Gallagher Services, a Catholic Charities program, seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for morning shifts in Pasadena, MD. You will build trusted relationships and provide personalized support to adults with developmental disabilities, helping them live independent, meaningful lives.

Recruiting for a Monday–Friday 8 AM–4 PM schedule on-site, offering a competitive pay range and a culture rooted in trauma-informed care that honors dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and assist people who use wheelchairs.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care while promoting independence and dignity.
• Prepare meals of their choice, encourage healthy eating, and keep a clean, comfortable kitchen aligning with personal preferences.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speech.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build their confidence and sense of self.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.

Pay Range: $20 - $20.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience)

MinimumRequirements:

• Mustbe at least 21 years old

• Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairs
• Able tolift upto 75 pounds, stand forlong periods, and provide physicalassistancewhen needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
