Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the full-time morning shift in Lutherville Timonium, MD. You will empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live vibrant, independent lives, joining a compassionate team that values dignity and connection.

The role includes assisting with daily activities, accompanying residents to community events, maintaining clear records, and advocating for rights.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and assist people who use wheelchairs.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Support community engagement, whether that's a walk in the park, or attending local events.
• Be a steady presence in important moments—family visits, milestones, or just a shared cup of coffee.
• Advocate for each person's rights and help build their confidence and sense of self.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.

PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $20.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience)

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm

A Day in the Life:

You’llspend your days supporting a group of fun, vibrant individuals who enjoy:

• Playing bingo and sharing laughs
• Watching favorite movies and discussing characters
• Singing along to music or relaxing with a favorite playlist
• Coloring, crafting, and creating art
• Reading books aloud or flipping through pages together

This group is looking for someone who is kind, dependable, a good communicator, and most of all—someone who enjoys spending time with them. Ifyou'resomeone who takes joy in building real connections and being present in the moment,you'llthrive here.

MinimumRequirements:

• Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairs
• Able tolift upto 75 pounds, stand forlong periods, and provide physicalassistancewhen needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
