Verland is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join the team at Poplar House in Uniontown, PA. This hourly, non-exempt role offers $19.25 per hour and includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Shifts are full-time (40 hours) with rotating nights and weekends. Responsibilities include daily living support, transportation, meals, and medication administration, while promoting independence and quality of life for residents with complex needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check, physical and drug screening required.
• Experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to residents with complex needs.
• Assist with daily living activities, meals, hygiene, and housekeeping.
• Administer medications as directed and document observations.
• Transport residents to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Support participation in social, home, and recreational activities.
• Ensure safety and a clean, healthy environment in the house.

Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.

House Name: Poplar House

Location: Uniontown, PA 15401

Shifts available:

Full Time- 40 hours

Week 1: 11p - 7a, Monday thru Thursday, Saturday

Week 2: 11p - 7a, Sunday thru Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

Week 3: 11p - 7a, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday thru Friday

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Contributions:

• Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene
• Housekeeping duties as needed
• Medication Administration
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
