Job summary

Verland is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care in Monaca, PA. The role is full-time (40 hours) with a new wage of 19.25 USD per hour and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. You’ll support individuals with complex needs in a home-like setting and participate in daily living activities, documentation, and transport.

Two weeks of paid training are provided. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, along with background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents while maintaining a safe environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Medication administration.
• Other duties as assigned.

7am - 11pm Thursday, 7am - 3pm Friday and 7am - 11pm Saturday

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Contributions

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
