Verland is hiring Direct Support Professionals to join our Hermitage, PA team. This full-time DSP role provides exceptional care to residents with complex needs in a home setting, with shifts of 40 hours per week.

Position includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus and a starting wage of $19.25 per hour. Training is provided, and the role is non-exempt with daily responsibilities in activities of daily living and community integration.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable means of transportation required.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a background, physical and drug screening.

Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.

House Name: Hasenflu House

Location: Hermitage, PA 16148

Shifts Available: Full Time- 40 hours

Week 1: 7am - 3pm Sunday, Monday, Thursday thur Saturday
Week 2: 7am - 3pm Sunday, Tuesday thur Friday
Week 3: 7am - 3pm Monday thur Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Contributions

• Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene
• Housekeeping duties as needed
• Medication Administration
• Other duties as assigned

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual's support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
