Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. in Aliquippa, PA seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide Exceptional Care to each resident in our home. This is an hourly, non-exempt DSP role with a 32-hour full-time schedule.

Shifts run 7am–3pm on Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package. Experience is not required; two weeks of paid training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Background, physical, and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Medication administration.

Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals' to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.

House Name: Brodhead House

Location: Aliquippa, PA 15001

Shifts available

Full Time- 32 hours

7am - 3pm Sunday / Monday / Friday / Saturday

Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
