Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with IDD in their homes and communities. The DSP will build meaningful relationships, encourage independence and help individuals reach personal goals.

The role offers flexible scheduling (full-time and part-time), with opportunities to gain experience in the IDD field and to support socialization and community participation.

Qualifications

• Previous Direct Support Professional (DSP) or direct-care experience.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs or BSPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility and companionship.
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy and personal growth.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, work and community activities.
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs).
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other IDD.
