Safe Haven Home Care, LLC is seeking a dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Hamilton, Ohio to provide one-on-one support for an adult male client with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy. The role emphasizes independence, companionship, and safe home care, with a focus on consistent, respectful interactions in the client’s home.

Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal prep, dog walking, and running errands, with documentation of services.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Able to safely perform household tasks, light yard work, dog walking, and other moderately physical activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and general household upkeep.
• Prepare meals and assist with cooking.
• Assist with yard work and outdoor tasks; walk the client’s dogs.
• Provide companionship and respectful one-on-one support.
• Help with errands and community activities as needed.
• Complete required documentation for services provided.
