Job summary

Help at Home is seeking caring Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities in Brandon, MS. Starting pay is $14-$16 per hour and weekly pay is offered.

As a DSP, you will provide one‑on‑one support to build daily living skills, encourage community participation, and promote dignity, choice, and independence. Flexible scheduling, paid training, and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background check and required training.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, either primary or secondary coverage.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in individuals’ homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals develop daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care activities.
• Provide hands‑on assistance based on individual needs while encouraging independence.
• Provide transportation and support participation in shopping, social events, and community activities.
• Help individuals work toward personal goals and recognize their progress.
• Promote personal choice, independence, and self‑advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
