Job summary

Help at Home in Southaven, MS is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Starting pay is $14-$16 per hour, with weekly pay, paid training, and opportunities for career growth. DSPs help with daily living skills, community participation, and personal goals while promoting dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and required training completed.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and insurance proof.
• Ability to work respectfully in individuals' homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals develop daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene).
• Provide hands-on assistance and encourage independence.
• Transport and support participation in shopping, social events, and community activities.
• Assist individuals toward personal goals and track progress.
• Promote personal choice, independence and self-advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
