Job summary

Chimes in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide in-home personal support and community engagement for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will help implement programs and ensure activities align with each person’s plan, promoting growth toward independence.

The role requires CPR knowledge, ability to assist with transfers, and a compassionate, respectful approach. A High School diploma and a valid driver’s license are preferred; flexibility including

Qualifications

• CPR knowledge and ability to respond to medical needs.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to lift, push, and assist individuals in daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal support in residents' homes and community activities.
• Supervise and train adults with developmental disabilities.
• Follow individual plans to promote independence and safety.
• Assist with daily living tasks (hygiene, budgeting, meals, etc.).
• Administer medications per PMOF and MAR with three-way checks.
• Maintain accurate monthly and incident reports and records.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and personalized home environment.
• Communicate health and safety concerns to supervisor promptly.
