Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Winterville, NC is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) accomplish daily living tasks and reach their goals.

You will work afternoon shifts in the client’s home and community settings, assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, transportation, and schedule planning, with daily documentation in the electronic health record. Paid training and flexible scheduling are provided.

Qualifications

• Entry-level welcome; on-the-job training provided.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or aptitude to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community settings for individuals with IDD.
• Assist with daily living tasks including housekeeping, meals, and personal care.
• Transport clients to appointments and help organize their schedules.
• Maintain daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system.
