Job summary

Traditional Home Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. The position offers flexible full-time or part-time shifts, with opportunities for evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include personal care, companionship, safety, and helping clients achieve personal goals while promoting community involvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a drivers license.
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Provide companionship and social interaction.
• Demonstrate appropriate communication and social skills.
• Perform light housekeeping and chores as needed.
• Ensure a safe environment and teach basic safety skills.
• Support individuals in meeting personalized goals and outcomes.
• Encourage community involvement and activities.
