Job summary

Access Services seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support adults with developmental disabilities in the Glenside, Flourtown, Ambler, and Willow Grove areas of Pennsylvania. Roles include helping with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement, with shifts from 9 AM to 7 PM on weekdays and Saturdays.

Paid training is provided; no experience is necessary. The DSP will work in clients’ homes and community settings, recording notes and following

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of direct care experience preferred.
• Ability to provide personal care and assist with daily living activities.
• Creative problem solving and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with individuals, families, case managers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals will assist individuals with developmental intellectual disabilities in the region where you serve.
• Provide direct services to individuals in their own homes or in their natural family homes.
• Provide supports as outlined in the individual's plan of care with approved interventions, including crisis management, emotional support, and positive reinforcement.
• Maintain appropriate case notes for the individuals served.
• Engage in supervision, training, and professional development.
