Job summary

LIFESPAN is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist people with disabilities in home and community settings. No prior experience required; we provide training and support to help you succeed at work and in life.

You will teach skills, promote independence, support daily living activities, and help with meals, transportation, and health and safety monitoring. We offer competitive pay, flexible schedules, paid training, and a benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of two consecutive years.
• Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check.
• First Aid/CPR certification required or training provided.

Responsibilities

• Teach skills to promote independence.
• Support community inclusion and integration.
• Mentor individuals to help build social skills and relationships.
• Assist with activities of daily living (eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene).
• Assist with meals and transportation when needed.
• Document activities and significant events in health records.
